In the Beginning....

I am probably among a few people in this technological age that does not know my way around a computer. I can email. I can do my job. Blog? Well, this is a first. I don't know if anyone will ever find what I have to share interesting or worth their time...but here I am just the same. Kind of exciting! It took me some time to pull the blog together and I can't even be sure I've done it correctly. I tend to be someone who prefers to learn as I go, hands on. Oh, I'll glance at the instructions but do tend to dive ahead. It has and has not worked for me in the past. So, this is the beginning of a journey. Where will it lead? Will I have any "ah ha" moments while sharing my thoughts? Will any kindred spirits relate? I am reminded of the Robert Frost poem, "The Road Not Taken." Have I chosen a road that will, in the end, "make all the difference?" That is to be seen.

Before I close, I should comment on the page title, "Love, Marriage...Where's the baby carriage?" I am four and one half years down the road to procreation. My wonderful Husband and I have been married five years now and find ourselves blessed in every respect (Thank You Lord) but one. The one area of our lives that seems to knock us off balance is the absence of the next chapter...children. Labeled both "healthy" and "medical mysteries" by fertility experts has caused us some pause. Why us? What next? This month maybe? The questions go on and on and still the "kid's rooms" remain empty.

In life we travel many roads...realistically at the same time. This road into blog-land is a recording of our child bearing journey. Our faith has been shaken but the hope has not gone. Only God knows what tomorrow holds. I may bring with me tears and rage, but go I will in full knowledge that dreams can come true (my Husband being proof). "And looked down one [road] as far as I could, to where it bent in the undergrowth..." Perhaps Mr. Frost saw the answer in the journey too.
